In Summer 2011 13 Dartmouth College students went on a great American road trip with a purpose. We travelled the country on our 1998 MCI coach bus converted to run on waste vegetable oil and outfitted with solar panels, talking about sustainability. 

Our mission was to help create a future that sustains people, the environment, and the economy. We promoted awareness and enthusiasm for sustainability through the sharing of information and innovation. 

We travelled 12,000 miles, through 33 states, and attended 66 public events. We met thousands of people, who inspired, motivated and excited us with their enthusiasm for our cause.

The Bus will be back next summer, 2012, for its eighth year on the road. The 2012 crew was chosen in October 2011, and have already begun planning. Let them know if you have any ideas for their journey!
